Claudie Johnson

CLAUDIE JOHNSON, SR., age 78, of Sidney, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his residence.  He was born on March 28, 1938 in Lewisville, AR to the late Howard and Martha (Wise) Johnson.  His wife, Shirley Ann (Stockton) Johnson, survived.

Claudie is also survived by children: Rebecca Lynn Johnson of Sidney, Martha Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT, Thomas Christopher Johnson of Sidney, Claudie Johnson, Jr., of Charlotte, NC, Wilbert Johnson of Sidney, Lorain Johnson of Sidney, Kenneth “Gene” (Crystal) Johnson of Houston, TX, David Monroe (Mandy) Johnson of Clyde, OH and Paul (Christy) Johnson of Bellevue, OH; 26 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and siblings: Ruthie Lee Johnson of Memphis, TN, Louisa Smith of Augusta, AR, Rose Johnson of Memphis, TN, Inetta (Freddie) Hostler of Pine Bluff, AR, Roy (Sharlene) Johnson of San Antonio, TX and Luther Johnson of Dallas, TX.  He was preceded in death by one daughter: Della Johnson; four brothers, one grandson and one great grandson.

Claudie was a member of Mt. Zion House of Prayer in Sidney, where he was the Ruling Elder.  He retired from Ross Aluminum in Sidney after 40 years of service.  Claudie could often be seen sharing his love of Jesus Christ at hospitals, nursing homes and correctional institutions.  He was dedicated to serving his Lord Jesus Christ and the community.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Mt. Zion House of Prayer, 324 Grove Street, Sidney, OH with Pastor Tommy Henderson officiating.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.  Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Thursday at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.
