Mary Kathryn Lykins Evans, age 93, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Dorothy Love Retirement Center. She was born on March 27, 1923 in Vanceburg, KY to Oliver Darius Kilgore & Bertha Hickle Kilgore.
Mary was preceded in death by her husbands Raymond D. Lykins and Foster Evans; son Roger D. Lykins; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Mary is survived by sons; Thomas (Connie) Lykins of Wichita, KS; Virgil Lykins of Sidney; daughters; Sarah (Bill) Knasel of Sidney; Anna Welch of Green Valley, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
Mary was retired from Copeland Corporation in Sidney. She was a member of the Sidney Baptist Church and Moose Lodge in Deland, Fl. She loved dancing, reading, crocheting and spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
Friends may call 11:30AM-1:00PM on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend John Butts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Union Cemetery, DeGraff, OH.
