Gerald E. “Gene” Slife, age 60, of 309 Belmont Street, Sidney, passed away peacefully November 30, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Gene was born June 9, 1955 in Sidney, to the late Richard James and Phyllis Eileen (Allen) Slife. On February 18, 1977 he married the love of his life, Vicki (Cotterman) Slife and she survives in Sidney.
Gene is also survived by daughters; April (Roger) Clevenger and Crystal Slife of Sidney, 4 grandchildren,brother, Richard (Kathryn) Slife of Piqua, sister, Connie (Mike) Rupert of Spencerville, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by brother, Melvin D. Slife.
Gene enjoyed spending his time outside, riding his motorcycle, and spending quality time with his family and grandchildren. He worked many years in Shelby County as a sheet metal fabricator.
Private graveside services will be held at the discretion of the family. There will be no calling hours.
The family requests that contributions be made to Wilson Hospice, 1081 Fairington Dr., Sidney, Ohio 45365 in Gene’s memory.
