William H. "Bill" Day

William H. “Bill” Day, Sr., age 87, of Sidney, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Fairhaven Nursing Home in Sidney.  He was born on March 26, 1937, in Jellico, TN, to the late Arthur and Bessie (King) Day.

Bill is survived by his wife: Mary M. (Morgan) Day, of Sidney; children: Michael Davis of Sidney, Rita F. Day of Carrolton, Hurstle W. (Brenda) Davis of Sidney, Teresa A. Day Hecht of Sidney, Dugan Day of Maplewood and Rose L. (Dennis) Lamar of Sidney; 17 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; siblings: Anna Gibson of Corbin, KY, Bobbie Adkins of Troy, Raymond Day of Oswego, TN; Donnie (Diane) Day of Sidney, Linda Day Bowlin of Jellico, TN., and sister-in-law: Irene Day of Livingston, KY.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Eddine Lois (O’Conner) Day; one daughter: Angel Gelene Day; one sister: Faye Davis; and three brothers: Arthur Day, Jr., Milford Day and Odis Day.

Bill was a member of NorthTowne Church of God, where he was baptized on January 15,2006.  He enjoyed camping, gardening and traveling all over the US with his wife, Mary, on their Honda Gold Wing since 1980.  Bill retired from Sidney Tool and Die after over 30 years.

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Carl McNeill officiating.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
