William H. "Bill" Carey

William H. ”Bill” Carey, age 69, of Sidney, passed away February 27, 2023, at his residence. He was born May 11, 1953, to the late Richard Carey and Grace (Bradley) Carey.  On April 14, 1989, he married Lisa (Johnson) Carey and she survives.

Also surviving are children; Angela (Daniel) Mayse of Sidney, Todd Carey of Simpsonville, S.C., Ryan (Natalie) Carey of Piqua, Shelby (Stuart) Carey of Cincinnati, Haley (Frank) White of Anna, Lucas Carey of Sidney, twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister Linda (Tony) Ritter of Sidney and nephew, Wes Ritter.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Stacey Ritter.

Bill was retired from Honda after 25 years of faithful service. He was a 1971 graduate of Hardin-Houston High School. He was a member of Lockington United Methodist Church. Bill loved tractors, NASCAR, and anything Ford. He was known for his sweet tooth and his extensive Hawaiian shirt collection.  In 2017, he got to meet his hero, Pete Rose.

He was generous with his time and resources, coaching the Blue Team in the Hardin-Houston Ball Association and leading Pack 255 as Cub Master.  He was a supporter of many conservation and wildlife organizations. Above all, Bill was a family man, treasuring holidays and vacations with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Linda Dulin-Moore officiating.  Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery in Lockington.
