Wilena (Keith) Shaffer

Wilena Shaffer, age 84, of Sidney, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster.

She was born March 26, 1937 in Somerset, KY., to the late Edmond Keith and Myrtle (Davis) Keith.  She married Merle E. Shaffer on September 29, 1979 and he survives.

Also surviving are children; Sheila (Paul) Schroeder of Christiansburg, Ohio, Ray (Sharon) Larson of Austin, Texas, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a sister Lenora Goins of Sidney.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

Wilena was a homemaker.  She attended the Northtown Church of God in Sidney. She enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband.  She loved spending her time with her grandchildren and family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at the Dayton VA National Cemetery in Dayton.
