Wayne Watercutter Obituary

Wayne B. “Waco” Watercutter, left this world July 17, 2022, to be with his beautiful wife Gloria J. Watercutter, who preceded him in death August 2, 2020.

He was born October 22, 1944, in Celina, Ohio, to the late John Watercutter and Elvera (Langenkamp) Watercutter.

He is survived by daughters; Kacy Murray and significant other Duane Stewart, Tina (Tony) Lewis Sidney, grandchildren; Christopher Watercutter, Michael (Christina) Kelly, Jennifer Kelly and significant other Gary Boswell, Jackie Bowman and significant other Travis Miller, Brandon (Taylor)Lewis, great grandchildren: Jace Cromes, Dylan Kelly, Olivia Bowman, Emma Boswell and Ayla Lewis, and sister Karen Simpkins of Warrensburg, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by son Larry Watercutter, and two brothers.

Wayne was of the Catholic faith. For over 30 years he enjoyed being a mechanic and owned several service stations throughout the area.  He was a NASCAR racer who loved to rebuild cars, engines and racing at Shady Bowl, Kilkare and Cridersville raceways. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney with Pastor Jeff Hill officiating.  

As a way of celebrating Wayne Watercutter, we would like to invite his family, friends and anyone whose life he impacted, to join us for a Celebration of life on October 22nd from 2-8pm at the Elks Lodge in Sidney, 221 S Main Ave.  Any day would be a great day to celebrate Wayne, but this day is extra special as it would have been his 78th birthday. 

Wayne impacted many people over the years, if you have any memories or memorabilia’s of him that you would like to share, please feel free to bring those with you.

T-shirts will be available for purchase during the celebration of life.  Proceeds from t-shirt sales will be donated to Houston Volunteer Rescue on behalf of Wayne and Gloria.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to charity of choice in Wayne’s memory.
