Victor Hurley, 69, entered peacefully into the beautiful place the Lord prepared for him on March 4, 2025, from his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 7, 1955, in Lima to the late William and Phyllis (Bell) Hurley.
On September 27, 1975, he married the love of his life, Rita (Korn) Hurley. He is survived by his wife and their children: Robert (Alexandra) Hurley, Vikki (Quentin) Sensabaugh; granddaughters Lexan and Raelyn; and his siblings: Janice (Ed) York, Bev (Tom) Suttles, Nancy (Melvin) Jackson, Doug Hurley, Phil (Robin) Hurley; as well as his 29 nieces and nephews, 78 great-nieces and nephews, and 21 great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, baby sister Beverly Jean, his brothers Frank and John, and his sisters-in-law Joyce and Patsy.
After retiring from Honda, he worked for the Village of JC until his job was complete. After boredom set in, you could find him at the Jackson Center Hardware Store or making deliveries for his daughter's business, Yants Beef Jerky. Vic loved being outdoors, maintaining his yard, and lending a helping hand to his neighbors. He knew no strangers and could turn a five-minute errand into a 25-minute adventure with his chatting. He and his brothers would spend quality time together at various racetracks and car shows.
"Bengal Vic" was a passionate Pepsi drinking die-hard Cincinnati Bengals Fanatic and attended many training camps and games with his family and friends. He enjoyed vacationing with family and road-tripping throughout the U.S. He loved doting on his beautiful granddaughters. He was very compassionate, positive, encouraging, and friendly, and he never knew a stranger. He was there when you needed him most, and we will always carry him in our hearts. His children will always look up to him as their hero.
