Tonja Raye (Livingston) Sturgill

Tonja Raye Sturgill age 70, of Sidney, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Born on June 6,1953, to Charles and Patricia (Shaffer) Livingston, Tonja was a proud mother, a caring friend, and an invaluable source of faith to all who knew her.

Tonja grew up in Sidney, Ohio and attended Sidney High School and was in the graduating Class of 71. She spent 33 years with her love, Jeff Sturgill. Tonja worked at Dorothy Love, where she was dedicated to the residents for whom she cared and made evident her compassion toward others every day.

Her sons were her heart. She is survived by two children: Shawn (Nicole Mullins) and Chad Gessler (Brooke). Her world was not complete without her five grandchildren: Lincoln Gessler, Nolan Gessler, Gabriel Gessler, Rylan Gessler, and Jaxson Gessler. She is also survived by two sisters: Sonja Ogle (Danny) and Launa Moon (Mike).

Christmas and birthdays were her favorite to celebrate, and she was always eager to decorate. Tonja was a child of God, and her faith was her strength through her last breath. While her health allowed, she was constantly on the run to different places. whether it was a friend's house or to grab a bite to eat.

A memorial service will be held on May 7, 2024, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Bishop Willis and First Lady serving as officiants. Calling hours will be from 11-12 with the service to follow at noon. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor and remember Tonja. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wilson Hospice, an amazing support for patients and their families.

Tonja will be deeply missed, and she will live on through the love and memories she shared with everyone around her. May she rest in peace and may those who knew her find comfort in their cherished memories.
