Tommy L. Henderson Jr. passed away from this life on November 18, 2021 at 1:03 a.m. at Miami Valley Hospital Dayton, Ohio. Tommy was born on June 27, 1956 in Lima, Ohio to Tommy L. and Vera (Wells) Henderson Sr. whom preceded him in death.
Tommy leaves behind to cherish his precious memory his wife Betty (Houston) Henderson whom he married on August 30, 1975 4 children Lashonda (Ronnie)Hixon Korey (Chastity) Henderson Alicia (Kenny) Howard Tommy L. Henderson III and Rickey Stewart all of Sidney Ohio. He is survived by his 5 grandchildren whom he loved dearly Sade Henderson, Latisha Howard, Kiana Howard, Desiree Howard & Tamia Howard all of Sidney Ohio. Tommy is survived by one brother Kenny Boo (Tammy) Henderson of Sidney, Ohio and one sister Anita (Fitzroy) Cuffy of Lima, Ohio. He is survived by cousins Willie (Debbie) Jones of Sidney, Ohio Jerry (Betty) Jones of Douglasville, Ga Sandra Jones of Brownsburg, In. In addition to his parents Tommy is preceded in death by his son Torey Henderson grandchildren KeShawn and Tamera Howard brothers Ron Davis, Phillip Henderson, Gary Henderson sister Phyllis McClellan and cousin Robert Wells. Tommy is survived by a host of special nieces and nephews and friends that were close to his heart.
Tommy was a 1974 graduate of Lima Senior High and earned his Bachelors of science degree in human services at Kaplin University Tommy proudly served his country in the US Army. Tommy was a devoted man of God he Pastored at God’s Church Ministries in Sidney, Ohio and served his community in every way at the Alpha Community Center for over 20 years. Tommy’s favorite scripture was Psalms 27. Tommy made sure that everyone he came in contact with knew about Jesus. Tommy was also owner of T Mans BBQ of Sidney, Ohio. Tommy L Henderson will forever be loved and greatly missed.
Funeral Services will be held November 26, 2021 at Adam’s Funeral Home 1401 Fair Road Sidney, Ohio with his special brother/friend Pastor Tommy Whites of Florida officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney Ohio with full military honors provided by Shelby County Honor Guard and the US Army. Family will receive friends at Adam’s funeral home November 26 11a-12p.
