Thomas William Boeke Obituary

On November 9, 2024, at Hospice of Miami County, all of Heaven sang out in a blaze of glory as they welcomed home a new angel to join their choir.

Thomas William Boeke, son of the late Gerald Lee (Joseph) Boeke and Sharon Lynn (Spencer) Boeke of Dayton Ohio, was called home to his Lord and savior following an extended battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He fought long and hard and held fast to the hopes of finding the right cure for his illness, always believing he was going to beat this devastating monster and be able to regain the second love of his life, Hubbard Roofing Inc. of Piqua, Ohio. He held much respect and love for his employer, Don Hubbard Sr., whom he viewed as a second father figure.

Thomas was born on November 7, 1982, in Greenville, Ohio, and later joined by his younger sister, Danielle Boeke whom he loved very much and spoke of/to often. Thomas was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal Grandparents, Virgil and Edna (Paulus) Boeke, of Minster, Ohio, as well as Armon and Sandra (LaPointe) Spencer of Dayton Ohio. Also waiting for him is his father Gerald Boeke of Piqua Ohio, three grandchildren, Aunt Donna Augaitis of Dayton Ohio, Rodney Howard who was a beloved work friend, as well as father-in-law William Yerkey from Sidney, Ohio.

In 2006, Thomas married Amy Kemp to whom he cared for and provided 19 years of love. Together, him and Amy raised eight beautiful souls of: Tamarra Schneider (Lucas) of Piqua, Ohio, Tevin Albert, also of Piqua Ohio, Bryce Albert of Centerville, Ohio, Quinnton Albert of Covington, Ohio. Macy Boeke of Sidney, Ohio, Miiah Albert of Cincinnati, Trista Boeke of Akron, Ohio, and Zackariah Boeke of Houston, Ohio. Years later, Mr. and Mrs. Boeke began raising a ninth child whom he came to love as his own child, Emma Manning.

Thomas cherished his three granddaughters, Royalty Burnam, Aubrie Albert, and Violet Schneider. He was very proud to be their grandfather and watch his legacy continue to grow.

His hobbies included fishing, camping, traveling, and hosting many cookouts and family gatherings at the family farm in Houston, Ohio.

Thomas cherished his life with his family and friends. This includes those he gained through his employment at Hubbard Roofing out of Piqua, Ohio. There he met his best friend, Clifford Swafford of Piqua, Ohio. “Ralph”, as he called him, was truly family, not just a friend or coworker. Additionally, is his best friend and emotional brother, Zackary King of Alaska, who he always spoke of and missed greatly. Godfather to two of Thomas’s children, friend for life, and brother beyond all measures, Zackary is the brother Thomas always yearned for and was endlessly proud of.

Finally, the very special Miss Victoria Myers who he was so excited to see become his daughter in law in the future. When that day comes, he will be there in spirit.

A very special mention also goes out to one of Thomas’ aunts, Karen Westerbeck and her husband Rick, as well as Cynthia Ryan, Amy’s sister, for their consistent dedication to lend a helping hand.

Thomas fought with all of his strength for nearly two years. He has now laid his last roof and rested those baby blues for eternity. May he rest as a Master Builder among the clouds.

There will be a viewing on November 16, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney Ohio, from 10am to 12pm.
