Theresa A. Cecil

Theresa A. Cecil, age 75, of Sidney, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Wilson Health in Sidney.  She was born on February 24, 1949, in Potters Fork, KY, to the late James and Hazel (Hooper) Kies.

Theresa is survived by four children: Brian Kearns of Sidney, Kevin Kearns of Sidney, Denise Ann (Tim) Robbins of Fairborn and Eric Cecil of Sidney; four step children: Mollie (Brian) Gold, Steve (Karen) Fogt, Michael (Liz) Fogt and Chad (Hailey) Fogt; one brother: Daniel (Claire) Kies of Portland, OR; one uncle: Robert Hooper; one aunt: Judy Hoskins; one sister-in-law: Ruth Kies; twenty one grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; longtime companion of over 37 years: Steve Fogt; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by two husbands: Richard Kearns and Dennis Cecil; and one brother: Michael Kies.

Theresa was a 1968 graduate of Fairlawn High School.  She worked at Woody’s Market in Sidney for many years.  Theresa enjoyed fishing, the great outdoors, coloring and spending time with her family.  She was the sweetest woman you ever met.
