Susie Mae Phillips

Susie Mae Phillips, age 90, of Sidney, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at The Landings in Sidney.  She was born May 11, 1934, in McCreary County, KY., to the late Cage Phillips and Pearlie Clark.

On October 4, 1952, she married Forest Phillips and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2024.

Susie is survived by her children; Terry Phillips and Tim (Alissa) Phillips, both of Sidney, Tammy (Jerry) Schutte of Sidney, 8 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Forest, brothers; Albert, Marcus, Luther, Harrison, Sherman, Alfred, Willie, Billie, Herman, Hurstle, Homer, sisters; Cennie, Ennie, Nancy, Emma, Dovie and Bertha.

Susie is of the Baptist faith.  She worked for many years at Copeland Corporation and Johnson’s Restaurant.  Susie was very good at hand quilting and enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardening, making many flower arrangements displayed around her home. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Services will commence at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.

Contributions may be made to DayCity Hospice of Dayton in Susie’s memory.
