Stephen Latimer

Stephen E. Latimer, age 74, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Dayton VA Medical Center.  He was born on August 7, 1947, in Ripley, MS, to the late Earl and Dorothy (Drew) Latimer.  On November 29, 1969, he married Bonalyn (Dunn) Latimer and she survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Katina Sorg and Stephen E. (Sharon) Latimer, both of Sidney, and Michael (Amanda) Latimer of Conover; two brothers: Leon (Shirley) Latimer and David Latimer, both of Sidney; eight grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Laura Bates; and one brother: Stanley Latimer.

Stephen was a 1965 graduate of Houston High School.  He was of the Christian faith.  Stephen proudly served his county as a member of the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He was a retired truck driver.  Stephen loved the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Hardin.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
