Shirley Rucker

Shirley A Rucker, age 82 of De Graff, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Mercy Health Hospital in Urbana. She was born on July 29, 1936 in Troy to father John Vernet Hufford and mother Catherine Elizabeth (Alexander) Hufford. She married the love of her life, Carl E Rucker on December 16, 1956 and he survives.

Shirley is survived by children Teresa Sue (Fred) Organ of Urbana, Carl E Rucker Jr. of Columbus, Ronald Ray (Kum-Nya) Rucker of Wilber, Nebraska; grandchildren Paul Joseph Organ, Vincent (Rachel) Spiert; great grandchildren Evelyn Spiert, Lucas Spiert, Isaac Spiert.; sister Norma Jean Delaney of Sidney; brother Dewey William Hufford of Piqua. She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Julie Anne Wagner-Rucker, grandson James Wesley Organ, three brothers and one sister.

Shirley enjoyed making ancestry family trees and taking pictures. She liked listening to all types of music. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Family and friends may call Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Adam's Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Bartee officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.
