Sherelene Coleman, RN Obituary

Resting in the Arms of God.  Sherelene Coleman of Sidney, Ohio, while at the Ohio Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio, went Home to be with the Lord in HEAVEN on April 22, 2025, after a long illness.

Sherelene was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, on January 11, 1954, she was 71 years old.

Sherelene is the daughter of the late Rev. John H. and Mildred (Hylton) Coleman. Sherelene’s surviving siblings are Pamela Coleman, Judy (Frank) Mariano of Sidney, Ohio, and Sally (Paul) Williamson of Erlanger, Kentucky. Surviving nephews James Varnell (Lynn) Rookard, Joseph Dustin (Kathy) Rookard, Nick Giuseppe Mariano, Brent Wille, Patrick Shane(Stephanie) Williamson, James Robert (Heather) Williamson, Surviving nieces Teena Nadine Blizzard (Kevin Petty), April Nichole Miller, Rachael LeeAnn (Jason) Line, Tara Pierce.  Also, she had many great nephews and nieces. She also had someone special to her that she considered as a son, Brian Arnett.

Sherelene was preceded in death by her grandparents Linza and Alice Hylton, Wille and Sally Coleman, brother Rev. John H. Coleman Jr. and wife Betty, sisters Sue Ellen Wille and husband Terry, Teresa Ann Coleman, nieces Jennifer Sue Coleman, Charity Allison Schutte, nephews Anthony Mariano, Johnny Lee Coleman, Brad Wille, great nephews Johnny Michael Coleman and Johnsy Lee Coleman.

Sherelene has been a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Mid-County Church of Christ in Troy, Ohio. She loved her church family.  They were really supportive of her when she was ill. Many of them visited her at the hospital, prayed and sang with her.

Sherelene enjoyed drawing and doing crafts. She loved children and teenagers and spending time with them.

Sherelene went on a mission in Haiti as a nurse with some of her church family and help set up clinics and worked as a nurse with a Doctor.

Sherelene became a Nurse (RN) in 1992. An RN Nurse for 33 years. Sherelene worked at Piqua Memorial and also Wilson Memorial Hospitals in the past. She was employed at the Fair Haven County Nursing Home in Sidney.

Sherelene loved her family and spending time with them.

Family and friends may visit Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Mid-County Church of Christ, 1580 N. Dorset Lytle Rd., Troy, Ohio 45373, with Minister Ralph Royce officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mid-County Church of Christ in Sherelene’s memory.
