Sandra Langston

Sandra Jean Langston, age 81, of Houston, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at her residence.  She was born on April 26, 1941, to the late Jesse and Mary (McMaster) Plunkett.  On January 31, 1960, she married Darrell Richard Langston and he survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by five of her six children: Darrell and Cheryl Langston, Jr., of Sidney Ohio, Richard and Shari Jean Teague of Huber Heights, Ohio, Michael and Lori Lynn Noe of Piqua, Ohio Darren Robert and Tammy Langston of Sidney, Ohio, Timothy Worthington of Russia, Ohio and Kathi Jean Wagner of Piqua, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother, Robert and Barbara Plunkett of Michigan, and sister, Janet MacKellar of Nebraska; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Jodi Worthington.

Sandra was a 1959 graduate of Miami East High School.  She also graduated from Dayton School of Practical Nursing in 1978.  Sandra went on to work as an LPN at Fair Haven County Home in Sidney, Ohio for 28 years before retiring. Family meant everything to Sandra. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her great grandchildren. This year she became a great-great grandmother of 2 girls giving her five generations of her family.  She and her husband loved to travel and explore the United States. They would often take back roads throughout the United States, stopping at the hidden restaurants and shops not found on the main roads.  Sandra was a member of the Houston Congregational Church. Her time working on the committees were very important to her.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH, with Pastor Kris Geise officiating.  Burial will follow in Houston Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
