Ruth A. (Haynes) Gibson

Ruth A. Gibson, age 83, of Sidney, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born December 13, 1940, to the late James Haynes and Delia (Stewart) Haynes.

Ruth is survived by daughters; Angela (Charles) Rhoton of Moss, TN., Belinda Graham of Port Jefferson, twelve grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and sister Alberta Skinner of Mt. Vernon, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by daughter Lisa Ellison, seven brothers and one sister.

Ruth was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Sidney. She had worked at the Alcove and Spot restaurants and Copeland Corporation in Sidney.

She enjoyed painting, crocheting, music, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a great Christian lady who will be missed by many.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Service will commence at

11:00 a.m. with internment to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.
