Roy Collins

Roy E. Collins, age 51, of Troy, formerly of Sidney, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on October 6, 1971, in Sidney, to the late Earl Collins and Lois (Weaver) Collins Murray.

Roy is survived by two children: Megan (Steven) Trigleth of Huber Height and Vincent Collins of Troy; four siblings: Rhonda (Mike) McDermit of Sidney, Cheryl Collins of FL, Lesile Caddell of Sidney and Johnnie Sue Murray of MI; and two grandchildren: Daisy Mae and Grace Lilian Trigleth, both of Huber Heights. 

Roy was a 1991 graduate of Sidney High School.  He was formerly employed at Copeland Corporation is Sidney. Roy proudly served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps.  He enjoyed watching movies, especially Star Trek, Adam Sandler movies and 007 movies.  Roy also enjoyed gaming and spending time with his kids and grandkids.  He always enjoyed being the life of the party and the “funny man” of the event.

Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00–7:00 PM on Friday, February 10, 2023, at Connection Point Church of God in Sidney.  Private burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery.
