Roxana "Roxie" Herring

Roxana Herring Roxana “Roxie” Herring was born April 5, 1958, to Edward Link Sr. and Helen (Hollis) in Piqua, Ohio. She was the last of five children. She graduated from Piqua City Schools. She was married to Charles (Chuck) Herring in Piqua, Ohio. Roxie was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Douglas, and baby brother, companion Chuck, and two grandchildren Samuel and Beatrice. She is survived by her son Charles (Tina) Herring, and their children, Charles, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Rebekah, Gabriel, William and Bernadette. Also, her surviving siblings Sandra and Edward and her beloved cat, Dot.

Roxie worked at Walmart for 18 years. She was a dedicated employee, and she was constantly talking about what she was looking forward to when she returned to work. She was a friend to many. Roxie loved to read, crochet, and play board games with friends and family. She had a special love for UNO and enjoyed playing it with her grandkids. Roxie was an avid Ohio State fan. She had a kind spirit and was loved by many. She was always crocheting baby blankets, hats, scarves, Christmas ornaments and other lovely items. She loved to crochet doll clothes for her granddaughter’s dolls. Roxie fought her cancer with every ounce of energy and never gave up hope. She gave it her all and was always hoping for the future. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney with Father John Tonkin as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington.  Family will receive family and friends from 4:00-6:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
