Ronald E. Taylor

Ronald E. Taylor, age 74, of Sidney, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at his residence. He was born August 11, 1950, in Whitley City, Kentucky, to the late Lawrence Taylor Sr. and Gloria (Struck) Taylor.

On February 2, 1969, he married Rita (Jones) Taylor, and she survives.

Also surviving is daughter-in-law, Jo Taylor of Sidney and son-in-law, Estel Waters of Sidney, and sister-in-law Tess Gross of Sidney along with special friend, Peyton Roberts who called him her adopted grandfather.  He was preceded in death by brother Lawrence Taylor Jr. and sister Diane Waters.

Ron retired from Copeland Corporation after 43 years of faithful service.  He was a member of the Calvary United Baptist Church of Sidney.  He was ordained as a Deacon and loved helping out at the church, hunting, fishing and gardening.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary United Baptist Church, 9480 N. Co Road 25A, Sidney, with Pastor David Shepard officiating.

Contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice and/or Calvary United Baptist Church in Ronald’s memory.
