Roger Dale Strunk

Roger Dale Strunk, age 71, of Sidney, passed away February 10, 2023, at his residence.  He was born June 21, 1951, in Harlan, KY, to the late Dewey Herbert and Maggie (Moore) Strunk.  He married Josefina R. (Vargas) Strunk and she preceded him in death on February 21, 2018.

Roger is survived by children: Maggie Strunk, Burnard (Sherry) Strunk, Jessy R. Strunk and Marie I. Strunk, all of Sidney; grandchildren; Ellen, Kayli, Matthew, Gaven, Allison, Brittany, Carter, Nevaeh, Camren, Alexander; and great grandchildren: Maddie, Ava and Oliver; sister: Jesse Stanfield of Sidney; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and extended family.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Della Blankenship.

He was a member of the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney. He retired from Honda Mfg.  Roger proudly served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.  He had the honor of guarding President Nixon during his service to his country.  Roger was a member of Shelby County Veterans.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, and Friday, February 17, 2023, from 10 AM – 12 PM at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney.  Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Sidney with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, with full military honors presented by Shelby County Veterans and the US Marine Corps.
