Robert D. Tolbert

Robert D. Tolbert, age 60, of Sidney, formerly of Grundy, VA., passed away October 4, 2022, at his residence.

He was born April 13, 1962, in Grundy, VA to the late Franklin “Bud” Tolbert. He was raised by his Grandmother Cecile Gibson Tolbert, Aunt Nadene Robinson and Aunt Patty Ratliff.

Robert is survived by children; Ryan Tolbert of Columbus, OH., Kaitlyn M. Tolbert of Sidney, Emily Tolbert of Cincinnati, OH., and brother Johnny Tolbert of Jackson Center.

He was employed at the Aurora Auto factory.  He was an avid football fan of Virginia Tech and the Miami Dolphins. Robert was a hard worker who enjoyed playing music, gardening and watching old movies. He attended the Little Prater Church in Grundy, Virginia.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. He will be interned at the Grace Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, West Virginia.
