Robert Leo Crusey

Robert Leo “Bob” Crusey, age 84, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, on his 58th wedding anniversary, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.  He was born on June 17, 1938, in Sidney, to the late Adrian and Eileen (McCashen) Crusey.  On September 26, 1964, he married Linda (Cartwright) Crusey and she preceded him in death on September 30, 2007.

Bob is survived by two children: Carla (Rick) Busse of Piqua and Jon (Tammy) Crusey of Tipp City; four grandchildren: Taylor Busse, Adrienne Crusey, Alyssa Crusey and Claire Busse; one sister: Lynda (John) Sanders of Ft. Loramie; and one sister-in-law: Marlene Crusey of Sidney. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother: Joseph Crusey and one sister: Mayme Olson.

Bob graduated from Holy Angels High School.  He was a member on Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney.  Bob was also a member of Sidney Moose Lodge.  He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army.  Bob was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and Notre Dame Football.  Bob proudly worked for the Kroger Company for 36 years in Sidney and Piqua. He and his wife started and operated The Cleaning Cruz for many years.  Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.  He and his wife, Linda, loved going out to eat and vacationing in Florida.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney with Deacon Philip Myers officiating.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.
