Rita C. Day

Rita C. Day, age 64, of Maplewood, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, January 17, 2025.  She was born on September 9, 1960 to Emma Sue (Powers) Pulfer of DeGraff and the late Willis Pulfer.  On December 1, 1989, she married William “Dugan” Day, Jr. and he survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: William Day III of Sidney, Alisha (Jason) Hutson of Wapakoneta and Jacob Day of Sidney; six grandchildren: Skyla, Kasen, Rylee, Ryder, Xander and Cordi; siblings: Roy (Julie) Pulfer of Bellefontaine, Ray (April) Pulfer of Bellefontaine, Joyce (Denny) Keith of Quincy and Elaine (Tony) Kerns of Sidney; and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bill and Mary Day of Sidney;  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son: Tyler Day.

Rita and Dugan loved riding their Harley Davidson and Kawasaki motorcycles, logging over 100,000 miles traveled across the United States.  She loved being outdoors in the sun and spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She was of the Christian faith.  Rita was a 1978 graduate of Riverside High School.  She worked for 22 years as a custodian at Riverside Schools in DeGraff.

Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, with Pastor Bill Halter officiating.  Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
