Rita Andrea (Orban) Pitrelli

Rita Andrea (Orban) Pitrelli, age 90, passed away on March 20, 2023, at the Veterans Hospital in Dayton. She joined her loved ones who departed before her and was reunited with them. 

On June 16, 1932, God her creator, blessed all of us, whose lives she touched by bringing Rita Andrea Orban into this world. She was the daughter of the late Jacob Orban and Constance (Wobbles) Orban.

May we as her decedents, continue her legacy of caring, sharing, and giving; her love and compassion for all people; her generosity; her spirit; her strength; and her nurturing.

Although her passing leaves a void in her entire family, her memory will live on in their hearts and minds, and in her children, and grandchildren, forever. She will be remembered not only in their lives, but in the natural world where she mingled with her flowers, garden and trees. Rita proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

With gratitude and fondness, they salute their devoted mother, grandmother and dear friend.

Her husband, Alfred Q. Pitrelli, preceded her in passing.  She is survived by her children, Alfred G. Pitrelli, of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Martha Pitrelli, of Baltimore, Maryland: and Diane (Pitrelli) Selanders, of Sidney Ohio; and grandchildren, Mara and Alexandra Herbkersman, Amanda Miller, Madison Kleinhenz, Jacob Selanders, and Gino and Nicholas Lazabara.  She will be missed by her dear friends, Daniel Holloway and Renate Schmidt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Avenue, Sidney, Ohio, with Father Jarred Kohn officiating.
