Rick was an accomplished welder and fabricator. He loved teaching and training others and previously taught welding at both Hobart Welding School as well as Montgomery County Vocational School. His motorcycle designs won several Easy Rider Competions for best design. And his welds hold the lens holder for the Hubble Telescope. He also did weld working on the International Space Station as well as many other high level welding assignments. He loved a variety of music and if you stopped by his garage to chat with him you would enjoy with him a diversified selection of tunes as well as hear many entertaining stories that he liked to call, "his war stories" about hunting and fishing adventures with his cherished friends.
Rick loved to fix everything, help others with their repair jobs and talk. If you met Rick, you would know all about him within a few minutes and you would quickly become his friend. He will be missed, and his memory will be cherished by those he loved and those that loved him.
