Rev. Ronald Lambert Obituary

Ronald E. Lambert, age 92, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at Kettering Health Dayton, with his family by his side. He fought the good fight, finished his race, remained faithful, and has now claimed the prize that awaited him.

Ron was born on March 22,1933, in Fredericton, Province of New Brunswick, Canada, to Edward and Helen Lambert. After high school, he entered the workforce at Motorola, where he met the love of his life, Jeanne-Marie Urban. They were married on December 25, 1956. He later worked for IBM before leaving to continue his education for the ministry.

Ron received his English Bible Diploma from Canadian Nazarene College, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Ministry and a Master of Divinity from Central Christian University. He later furthered his education by receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Logos Graduate School.

Ron pastored churches in Trenton and Preston, Ontario, before moving to the United States in 1969, where he continued preaching in Michigan. He later moved to Sidney, Ohio, to pastor at the Church of the Nazarene in 1973 and then founded Faith Fellowship Ministries in 1976. He pastored there until 1989, when he was called to continue his ministry outside of Ohio. Ron returned to Ohio in 2006 to pastor at St. Mary’s Wesleyan Church for a number of years before retiring. His home church was Solid Rock Church in Sidney, where he loved every opportunity to be at the pulpit and teach others.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Lambert; his wife, Jeanne-Marie Lambert; his daughter, Linda Paulus; his son-in-law, Kenneth Bridges Jr.; his grandson, Kenneth Bridges III; and his great-grandson, Elijah Wilson.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Randy) Hufford of Sidney; his sons, Tim (Val) Lambert of Michigan and James (Cindy) Lambert of Sidney; and his grandchildren: Mindy (John) Chambers, Michael Bridges, Jeremy (Jackie) Bridges, Melissa Hufford, Ricky Paulus, Joshua (Heather) Paulus, Ashley Paulus, Lauran Lambert, Rachel (Jared) Brooks-Pauli, James (Sandra) Lambert Jr., Brittany (Blayne) Breece, Brooke Wilson, Shane (Audrey) Lambert, and Allison Bridges. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Ron's passion in life was serving God, others, and spending time with his family. Each day, he studied from his personal library, drove to the peaceful roadside along the Miami River, and visited the cemetery. Ron was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His desire was for all to be saved.
