Rebecca Sue (Huecker) Bernardi

Rebecca Sue Bernardi, age 75, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at Urbana Health & Rehab.  She was born on March 29, 1947, the daughter of Jerome and Sue Huecker.

She is survived by her longtime partner Larry Tate of Sidney and her six children: Anna Marcoux (Dan) of Massachusetts, Matt Bernardi (Janice) of Sidney, Jessica Johnson (Mark) of Indiana, John Bernardi (Jennifer) of Sidney, Jerome Bernardi (Michelle) of North Lewisburg, Chris Bernardi (Connie) of Springfield, nineteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her loving brother and sisters, Jesse Patterson of Belle Center, Pat Goings of Sidney, and Luke Huecker of Greenville.

Rebecca was preceded in death by son, Jerome Dominic Bernardi, brother, Ed Rickert and parents, Sue and Jerome Huecker.

In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, reading, baking birthday cakes, making dozens of her famous Italian cookies and buckeyes and making baby blankets for her grandchildren.

She wished to be remembered and acknowledged as a hard working, loving sister, mother, and grandmother.

There will be a celebration of life to be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the IUTIS building on Wapakoneta Avenue in Sidney.
