Raymond F. Schulze

Raymond F. Schulze, age 82, of Sidney, passed away on June 4, 2022, at his home.  He was born on April 24, 1940, in Fort Loramie to the late Frederick and Mary (Streaker) Schulze.  On October 14, 1967, he married Elizabeth “Betty” (Berning) Schulze and she survives.

Ray is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Marcia (Brent) Montgomery of Sidney, Teri (Mark) Brant of Sidney and Patti (Jim) Withrow of Anna; grandchildren: Branden, Brad and Ben Montgomery, Katie and Zoe Brant and Caleb (Samantha) and Jimmy (Kristina) Withrow and Morgan Stiffler; and great grandchildren: Bryleigh, Braxton, Braelynn and Brentyn Montgomery and Caden Withrow; one brother: Lavern (Diane) Schulze of Fort Loramie; and two sisters-in-law: Ruth Schulze of Fort Loramie and Karen Schulze of Minster.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Richard Schulze, Wilfred Schulze, Edward Schulze and Frederick Schulze; three sisters: Alma Mertz, Doris Ruthschilling and Marlene McMullen; and three brothers-in-law: Robert C. McMullen, Charles Mertz and Elmer Rutschilling.  Ray loved doing projects with his grandchildren and teaching them to use tools.  He also enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels and travelling with his wife.  Ray worked for 37 years at Norcold.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney with Fr. Aaron Hess as Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Adams Funeral Home. 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.
