Ray William Lewis, Sr.

Ray William Lewis, Sr., of Sidney, age 82, died of natural causes on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his residence.  He was born on April 5, 1939, in McCreary County, KY, the son of Starling R. Lewis and Sarah J. (Worley) Lewis.  On April 18, 1964, he married Connie “Kay” (Brackney) Lewis and she survives.

Ray was preceded in death by two sisters: Addie Hughes and Betty Hamilton; and two brothers: Willard Lewis and Roy Lewis.  Surviving is sister: Nancy Hecht of Sidney.

Also surviving are children: Ray (Christina) Lewis, Jr, Robert Lewis, Tony (Tina) Lewis; and grandchildren: Ray Lewis III and Jesica Hole, Jackie Bowman and Travis Miller, Bradley Lewis and Elisha Downing, Ashley and William Stone, Brandon and Taylor Lewis, Brandi Lewis and Josh Sund, Jacob Lewis and Nathan Topp; and eleven great grandchildren.

Mr. Lewis loved to hunt, fish, camp and take his grandchildren on vacation.  He was a member of Full Gospel Community Church and was employed at Copeland, where he retired after 33 years of employment.

Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH, with Pastor Jeff Hill officiating.  Burial will be in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
