Polly Ann Wearly

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Polly Ann Wearly.  Born June 30, 1949 in Sidney, Ohio to John and Katie Wearly.   Sister to Joe (Pam), Steve (Belinda) and John Wearly.  Beloved mother to Heather Stewart (Tonya), Daniel Stewart (Brien), Joshua (Holly) Stewart, and Amber (Bill) Riley and grandmother to 4 amazing grandkids Kaitlyn, Mitchell, Ayla & Braylee.  Partner in life to Mark Wulfhorst (Wolfie). She passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at 11:03 p.m. surrounded by the love of her family.

Polly lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to caring for others. A true fighter, she faced her battle with cancer with strength and dignity, never losing her spirit or love for those around her. She did not lose any battle, she simply reached the moment where her work on earth was done, and heaven gained an incredible angel.

Throughout her life, Polly Wearly was known for her big heart and tireless dedication to others. She built her career caring for the elderly, serving as a constant source of comfort and compassion. As a mother, she was fiercely protective, endlessly supportive, and always present, never missing a sporting event, a special moment, or a chance to encourage her children. Her love extended to her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure, creating joyful memories of play, laughter, and exploration. Her home was always open to those in need, and her love touched countless lives.

She found joy in the little things, flower beds in full bloom, the beauty of hummingbirds and eagles, and cheering for her favorite teams, the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. She deeply loved her parents, John and Katie Wearly, cherished her brothers, Steve Wearly and Belinda Wearly, Joe Wearly and Pam Wearly, and John Wearly, and was immeasurably proud of her family.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her legacy of kindness, strength, and unconditional love will live on through the countless hearts she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 11:00-2:00p at the American Legion at 1265 4th Ave, Sidney OH 45365. An open service will be held from 11-12p where everyone is encouraged to gather to share memories, laughter, and tears, and honor the incredible life she lived. Family and close friends are encouraged to stay for lunch and visitation from 12-2p. Casual attire is welcomed and feel free to wear vibrant colors, or your favorite Reds or Bengals gear, to honor her joyful spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by loving others generously, helping those in need, and cherishing every moment with those you love.
