Patsy C. Kennedy

Patsy C. Kennedy, age 79, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at home with her girls by her side.  She was born on September 11, 1943, in Logan County, OH, to the late Forest and Ruth (Keesecker) Thomas. On June 26, 1960, she married E.D. Kennedy who preceded her in death November 27, 2015.

Patsy is survived by her daughters: Kimberly (Russell) Gregory of Louisville, KY, and Karmel (Darren Clark) Grieshop of Sidney; and granddaughter raised as daughter Ashley (Eric) Sylwestrak. Grandchildren: Kandi (Randy) Astry, Michael (Brandi) Morrison, Kyle (Kylee) Kohli, and Coty Grieshop; 10 Great grandchildren: MaJessa, Gracie-Mae, Kaleena, Zofia, Brayden, Zarek, Hayden, Riley, Olivia, and Emma.  Brother Fred (Vicki) Thomas of Bellefontaine and sister Nancy McClain of Sidney.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Krina Adams; one great grandson: Camden Astry; one brother: Charles Thomas; and good friend: Deb Hoelscher. 

Patsy was an active member of the Hardin United Methodist Church.  She retired after 37 years from Midmark in Versailles. She collected owls, enjoyed quilting and sewing, and loved mushroom hunting. She loved serving meals to family and friends and no one ever left her house hungry. But most of all she was devoted to spending time with her family and cared deeply for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank Promedica Hospice for all they did for us. Susie and Wanda provided exceptional caring and compassionate care. 

A gathering of family and friends will take place Friday July 14th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Adams funeral home. Service will immediately follow at 1:00PM with Pastor Steve Hunsucker officiating. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hardin United Methodist Church.
