Norma “Kay” Hogue, age 71, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio with her sons by her side. Born in Fort Lee, Virginia on July 3, 1953, the daughter of Raymond L. Abbott and Norma Jane Wooley-Abbott-Faubion.
Kay worked at Copeland in Sidney, Ohio, and later as an in-home daycare specialist. She enjoyed serving her Lord and Savior through the Piqua Church of the Nazarene and bingo. But her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Kay is survived by two sons, Scott Spitler (wife Tiffany) of Lucas, Ohio, and Larry M. Hogue, Jr (wife Sirapatsorn “Lucky”) of Minot, North Dakota, 6 grandchildren (Morgan Spitler, Brayden Spitler, Trent Hogue, Everett Hogue, Kanyaphat Thammawong and Nutcha Thammawong, and 1 great grandchild (Leionna Hogue). Kay is also survived by three siblings, Cheryl Ball, Debra Abbott, and Brian Abbott (wife Cathy) of Piqua, Ohio. Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Larry M. Hogue, her parents Raymond L. Abbott, and Norma Jane Wooley-Abbott-Faubion, her brother David Abbott, and her loving fur baby, Ellie.
A Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio, at 11am, with visitation 1 hour before the service. Interment will immediately follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Rev. Steve Spoon will officiate the service. The family has entrusted Kay’s care to Adams Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio.
