Nicholas J. Heckler

Nicholas J. Heckler, age 74, of Sidney, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022, at his residence.  He was born in Sidney on June 13, 1947, to the late Cletus and Mary (Stengel) Heckler.

Nick is survived by his significant other: Karen Miller of Sidney; two children: Cassandra (Frank) Ruotolo of Palmetto, FL and Jason Heckler of Sidney; grandchildren: Slade and Barrett Ruotolo and William and Brandon Heckler; two great grandchildren; and two sisters: Martha Weber and Doris Richards, both of Troy.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Michael Heckler.

Nick was a 1965 graduate of Holy Angels High School in Sidney.  He was of the Catholic faith.  Nick worked for many years at the Sidney News Stand, Con Agra and then retired from Copeland.  He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan for over 60 years.  He enjoyed singing, doing karaoke and was a very social person.  Nick was a member of Sidney Moose, Sidney AmVets, Sidney VFW, Sidney Eagles and Sidney American Legion.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH.
