Nancy E. (Coffey) Hecht

Nancy  E.(Coffey) Hecht, age 87, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022.  She was born June 1, 1935, in Slavens Branch, KY. in McCreary County, to the late Starling and Sarah (Worley) Lewis.

On February 11, 1955, she married Theodore Coffey and he preceded her in death in 1999.

She is survived by children; Stephen Coffey, Bridget Steed, Sondra Owen, Rhonda (Carl) Branscum all of Sidney, Kathy Sue Hamilton of Evansville, Indiana, ten grandchildren; Joshua (Jenny) Ferguson, Justin Ferguson, Brooke (Nicholas) Cathcart, Daniel Branscum, Brittany (Andrew) Barnhart, Sarah (Micah) Laber, Anthony Steed, Stephanie Owen and Shane, Sandy Owen and Tim, Mindy (Jason) Love and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son-in-law Tom Owen, siblings; Raymond Lewis, Roy D. Lewis Sr., Ray Lewis, Ellard Lewis, Willard Lewis, Addie Hughes and Betty Hamilton.

Nancy was a member of the Full Gospel Community Church in Sidney.  She retired from Copeland Corporation after 43 years of faithful service.  She enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee and reading the Bible.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

Family and friends may visit on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Day City Hospice in Nancy’s memory.
