Mildred M New

Mildred M. New, age 89, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Wilson Health in Sidney.  She was born June 29, 1936, in Duff, Tennessee, to the late Ben Burger and Grace Cunningham.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Harold New in 2000, also four brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

She is survived by children; Pam (Jerry) Wilkin of Sidney, Rod (Diane) New of Anna, Tina (Scott) Hooks of Sidney, five grandchildren; Sommer (Daniel) Valentine, Charles (Nicole) Wilkin, Rodney (Rachel) New, Hayley Roberts, Bradley (Jenna) Coomes and eight great-grandchildren.

She attended the Sidney Baptist Church in Sidney and was retired from Copeland Corporation. She enjoyed writing poetry, gardening, working in her flower beds and spending time with her family and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Randy Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery.
