Michael (Mike) Lynn Marlow, age 58, of Anna, passed away at Kettering Main Campus of Kettering, Ohio, at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born July 2, 1967, in Sidney, the son of Woodrow Marlow and Betty (Murray) Spaugy.
Mike grew up in Sidney and Anna with surviving family; siblings, Rhonda (Chuck) Albrecht of Snover, MI., and Scott and the late (Melissa) Marlow, step-sisters, Vicki Spaugy and Chrystal Powers, mother-in-law, Daniela Ptak and brother-in-law, Miroslaw Ptak.
He married Monika Ptak on September 22, 2001, together they have two children; Megan Marie Marlow and Myles Jerzy Marlow along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-dad Jack, and step-brothers, Mike, Joe and Jim Spaugy, maternal grandparents, Elvin and Vivian Murray, and Dee and Mary Marlow, father-in-law, Jerzy Ptak and sister-in-law, Agnes Ptak.
Mike worked at Crown Equipment as a welder in New Bremen. He was a graduate of Anna High School. He really enjoyed watching Tennessee Vols and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He loved his kids with all of his heart. He loved to take Myles fishing, traveling, bowling and he loved to visit family in Tennessee, New York and Michigan, his family and friends. He loved to help people, he had a big heart and loved to joke around. His ultimate gift was as an organ donor, he saved and impacted multiple lives.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Jamie Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.
