Michael Lee Reier, 76, of Sidney, passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2024. Mike was born on May 30, 1947, in Union City, Indiana, and was a proud US Army Veteran serving his country during the Vietnam War, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. He graduated from Holy Angels in 1965. He loved watching the Browns and Buckeyes. Mike attended Fields of Grace Worship Center in Covington.
Mike is survived by his wife Sandra, children; Sherri (Chris) Brown, Michael Reier, Michelle (Eric) Garber, and Brandon Johnston. His grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Brown, Erica Ritchie, Nathan (Jena) Ritchie, Brianna (Austin) Tebbe, Azen Reier, Kaeden (Kaylor) Reier, Katelynn Garber, Hayley Allspaw, and Aubrey Johnston, his great-grandchildren; Kalli, Kaygen, Kendall, Emma, Lydia, Weston, Christopher, Chloe, and Colton.
Mike was the oldest of nine children and is survived by his siblings; Thomas (Priscilla) Reier, Craig (RaShal) Reier, Tim (Sherri) Reier, Mark (Barb) Reier, Patti (Bob) Fridley, Peggy (D.Jay) Baird, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis “Bud” and Alberta (Ebeling) Reier, sisters Ronda Reier, Nancy Woolley, nephew Rodney Reier and grandsons Eric and Aaron Garber.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Don Solin officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney, with full military honors performed by the U S Army and the Shelby County Veterans.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.
