Michael "Mike" Dale Fogt

Michael (Mike) Dale Fogt, age 78, of Piqua, went to his heavenly home on September 19, 2023.  Mike was born on April 29, 1945, in Sidney, Ohio, to Virgil and Mildred (Apple) Fogt, who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Mary (Fogt) Scott.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Connie (Wille) Fogt, his son, Scott Fogt, and his daughter, Mindy LaBreck (Stacey) and three grandchildren.

Mike was a graduate of Piqua High School and a proud veteran of the United States Navy, who served his country during the Vietnam War.  In April of 1971, he began his 40 year career as an auto mechanic.  He married his loving wife, Connie in May of 1971, and they started their lives together in Piqua, Ohio.  He worked hard his entire life with a steady hand and a smile.  He was the best husband, father, and friend a person could have.  He loved his church family and devoted himself to them and to God by serving the needs of others through his work there.

Mike is sorely missed by his loving wife, family, and friends.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, on Monday, September 25, 2023.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Military honors will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the U.S. Navy and the Shelby County Veterans followed by a celebration of life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Broadway Church of Christ in Mike’s memory.
