Mattie Gene Glover was born on Wednesday April 3rd, 1935, in Fort Gaines, GA to the late Mattie R. Terrell Glover and Eugene Glover. The family moved to West Hollywood, Fl in 1953.
Mattie was employed as a Jeweler at Loren Industries. Mattie got saved, sanctified, and holy ghost filled at Bethel Mt. Zion Holy Union Church Of God in 1965. Where she was a devoted devotional leader, Secretary, and faithful servant. Her ministry was dedicated to helping the sick and shut in. She was always willing to help anyone in need of food, shelter, encouragement and prayer.
Mattie was a very selfless person always ready to help in any way that she could. It was with sincere humility and justifiable pride that she served willing and relentlessly in her role that was requested of her. In February 2022, Mattie moved to Sidney, Ohio where she resigned with her daughter.
On Friday March 28th, 2025 Mattie received the Masters call to come to her forever home. She answered fervently and said goodbye to the world while immediate family remained vigil at her bedside.
Matties passing leaves behind a very sorrowful family;
Daughters: Donna Glover and Deborah Glover Jones of Sidney, Ohio. Son: Tyrone Glover of West Park, Fl..
Grandchildren: Rha’Kenya Glover, Demesha Greir, and Ahmed Glover (Larissa), Great Grand Children: AshanTi Cook, Khamari Cook, Quinteria Sawyer (Henson), Cartier Thompson, Imperial Nevels and Z’Ajah Smith (Delvin), daughter, great grand, Great Great Grandchildren: Nevaeh Donald, Reoshard Donald, Faith Tisdale, Jimmy Tisdale, Miyanis Williams, and Lael Glover, a host of nieces, cousins, nephews, friends, and extended family. Also, special sisters in Christ: Overseer Almeda Warren and Mother Doris Alford.
She was proceeded in death by a granddaughter, La’Twania Grier, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 nephews and 1 niece.
