Matthew Jon Cotterman

Matthew Jon Cotterman, age 38, of Sidney, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, at his residence.  He was born February 21, 1984, in Sidney, to the late John M. Cotterman and Sondra (Adams) Cotterman Vondenhuevel.

Matthew is survived by his mother Sondra Vondenhuevel, stepfather Doug Vondenhuevel of Sidney, children; Hunter (Morgan Shilt) Cotterman of Troy, Peyton Watren of New Madison, Ohio, Gracie Jane Cotterman of Port Jefferson, brother Aaron (Kimberly) Cotterman of Miamisburg, half-brother Joe Cotterman of Sidney, half-brother Charles (Christina Wilkins) Vondenhuevel of Celina, half-sister Johnna Cotterman of Sidney, many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Matthew was a 2001 graduate of Anna High School where he actively played football. He attended Solid Rock Church in Sidney.  He was an electrician who enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid Cincinnati Bengals Fan. He was an organ donor who saved over 125 lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Solid Rock Church in Sidney, with Pastor Rodney Reynolds officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family to help offset funeral costs.
