Mary Lou Wildermuth

Mary Lou Wildermuth,88, of Sidney, Ohio died peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. She was born in Sidney, Ohio at the Moore Family Farm on June 11, 1935. She was the daughter of John and Grace (Renner) Moore.

Mary Lou is survived by her brother Richard Moore; sons, Rick (Jo) Wildermuth, Phil Wildermuth and Jamison Wildermuth; Daughter Kathy (Jim) Withrow; along with many nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Grace (Renner) Moore; son, Steve C Wildermuth; Infant daughter, Julie A Wildermuth; and beloved siblings Newell Moore and Ruth Ann (Moore) Ruffner.

Mary Lou loved to reminisce about Christmases in those early marriage years of raising her young children. Throughout her life she had a child-like sparkle and joy when it came to that special time of year. She also enjoyed reading her devotionals and writing letters to family and friends. She was an early member of the First Church of God when it was located on Northwest Ave in Sidney before the church relocated to a new building on Campbell Road (Connection Point) in the mid-1960s. This church is where she spent some years as a Sunday School teacher, which showed the love she had for the church and its members.

Although she had spent most of her young adult years as a homemaker, after her kids were raised Mary Lou went to work and retired from Stolle Corporations. Later on she was employed at Walmart until finally leaving the working world at the young age of 81.

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Connection Point on Campbell Road in Sidney, Oh. Visitation will be from 9:30am-11am on Thursday, May 23,2024 with funeral service following at 11am. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Connection Point and the Shelby County Animal Shelter.
