Mary Ellen (Goshorn) Fugate

Mary Ellen Fugate, age 94, of Sidney, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Koester Pavilion in Troy. She was born January 28, 1929, in Sidney, the daughter of Grover Cleveland Goshorn and Carrie Irene (Crawford) Goshorn.

She was married to Jess L. Fugate for 58 years and he preceded her in death July 29, 2005.

Mary is survived by children; Michael (Anita) Fugate of Lancing TN., David (Jennifer) Fleckenstein of Anna, Chris (Deb) Fugate of Sidney, Joellen Werner of Lancing, TN., 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Mary was of the Baptist faith. She retired from working many different places in the Sidney area. She was a leader of the Brownies, Cub Scouts and 4H. She was a choir director and director of the children’s choir. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed painting ceramics.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Benjamin Fugate officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco.
