Mark A Barga

Mark Allen Barga, 57, of Anna, passed away July 29, 2025 surrounded by family. He was born in Sidney, Ohio on December 17, 1967, to the late Mark T. Barga and Shirley (Davis) Barga. On March 22, 1996 he married his love Lorri Barga, and she survives in Anna.

Left to cherish his memory are children Nicole (Ryan Shurts) Barga of Anna, Zachery (Aimee) Barga of Sidney, Mary (Jakob) Argabright of Anna, and Deana (Francis) Hunter of Saint Marys. He is also survived by grandchildren Avery Argabright, Xavier Burnett, Joshua and Nicole Hunter along with Brother-In-Laws Donald Newman of Anna, Justin (Kelsey) Chiles of Anna, and John (Julie) Forsyth of Ada. He is also survived by many cousins, brothers, great friends, nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by Sister Christina Newman, Grandparents Wavel & Mabel Davis and Grandparents Marcellus & Sara Barga.

Mark served 35 years in the Fire Department, where he worked alongside his Father serving our community and gained a brotherhood for life. Mark spent many years operating the family construction and countertop business. In his free time, Mark loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and taking his dog for rides. Some of his greatest memories were salmon fishing every year with his Father and best friends.

Mark was a hero to many in the community, but especially to his wife and children. Mark gave a helping hand to anybody he came across. After his retirement from the Sidney Fire Department, Mark started working with Habitat for Humanity, remodeling homes and managing new home constructions. Mark had a huge heart for others and showed it every day of his life.

A celebration of his life will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio on Tuesday August 5th at 11 am with visitation starting at 10 am. Visitation will be Monday August 4th 2pm to 7pm. Services will be by Keith and Besty Berger. Bell Ceremony will be during funeral services on Tuesday by the Sidney Fire Department.
