Marcella A Bodenmiller, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2021 at 4:40 a.m. at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Greenville on October 12, 1936 to the late Earnest Pittman and Effie May Cotterman (Fernandis) Brown.
On February 25, 1956 Marcella married Thomas (Tom) Bodenmiller who proceeded her in death on September 3, 2013.
Marcella is survived by her children Cindy Bodenmiller of Lakeview, Thomas Bodenmiller, Lori Burch, and Lisa Bodenmiller, all of Jackson Center; grandchildren, Angela (Randy) Hersh, of Lima, Dan Schmiesing, of Knoxville, TN, Andy (Stacy) Schmiesing, of St. Marys, Mitch (Lisa) Bodenmiller, of Fairborn, Kristen (Ryan) Geuy, Craig (Kella) Bodenmiller, Ryan Burch, Ashley (Ryan) Osysko, and Gail (Matt Rhoades) Lindeman, all of Jackson Center; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Doris Gill, of GA, Ruth Barhorst, of Piqua, and Beverly (Al) Feroni, of GA; brothers Roger (Beth) Brown, of Anna, Duane (Sis) Brown, of TX; brother and sister-in-laws Maxine Bowden, of Sidney, Francis Fridley, of Anna, Joanne Free, of Botkins, Don (Carolyn) Bodenmiller, of Port Jefferson, Evelyn Bodenmiller, of Jackson Center, and many nieces and nephews.
Marcella was proceeded in death by a daughter, Penny Bodenmiller; a son, Tony Bodenmiller; son-in-law Anthony (Reed) Burch; great-great-grandson Tenson Asher; sisters Thelma Bray, Geneva Bennett and Virginia Pittman; brothers Vernon Pittman, Lawrence Pittman, and Gerald Pittman.
Marcella was a homemaker. She was a member of the Botkins United Methodist Church. She was a strong supporter of the Shelby County 4-H Program and was a 4-H Advisor for over 20 years. Above all, Marcella was most proud of her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, enjoying a friendly game of cards. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends may visit on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Locker officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
