Lycinda Yount

Lycinda L. Yount, age 71, of Sidney, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County in Troy.  She was born on September 18, 1952, at Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina to the late Richard and Virginia (Flory) Burns.

Lycinda is survived by her husband: Glenn Yount; and siblings: Dianne Burns of Sidney, Teresa Stackonis of Sidney, Annette (Jeff) Berry of Zanesville, Melody (Brian) Jones of Niceville, FL, Richard E. (Susan) Burns of Sidney and Jon (girlfriend: Mitzi Tyree) Burns of Sidney. Step children: Brandon Yount and Russell Yount both of Dayton area, Josh ( Hannah) of Ocean Springs, MS, Gabrielle ( Jake) Adams of New Castle, Indiana. Also six step Grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Tammy White; and one brother-in-law: Peter Stackonis; and one great niece: Maddison Berry.

Lycinda was a 1970 graduate of Sidney High School.  She was a member of First Christian Church in Sidney.  She retired after working in sales for many years.  Lycinda was an avid Ohio State fan – “Go Bucks!”.  She enjoyed shopping, gardening with her flowers, reading and going out to eat on Friday with her cousin, Kim Eilerman.  She loved her cat, Sadie.  Lycinda especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at First Christian Church, 320 East Russell Road, Sidney, with Pastor Kris Geise officiating.
