Lorraine (Williams) Powell

Lorraine Powell, age 74, of Piqua, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2018 at Covington Care Center in Covington.

She was born April 16, 1944 in Adrian, Michigan, to the late Palmer Williams and Bessie (Shepard) Williams.  Her husband, Forrest Powell, and brother, James Williams of Swanson, Ohio, preceded her in death.

She is survived by step-children; Philip and Linda Powell of Ludlow Falls, Jack & Jacklyn Powell of Lockington, Roseanna Gray of Sidney, and (9) step- grandchildren.  Also surviving are brothers, Palmer Williams of Adrian, Michigan, Danny Williams of Garfield Heights, Ohio and half sisters, Palma James of Piqua and Teresa Long of Dayton.

Lorraine was of the Baptist faith.  She loved attending church and watching religious and gospel shows on television. She was a homemaker and an avid cat lover.

Friends and family may visit on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 9 to 10:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Harold McKnight officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice and/or Hospice of Miami County in Lorraine’s memory.
