Lillie Mae Cost

Lillie Mae Cost, 88 of Sidney, passed away June 10, 2025. She was born in Florence, Alabama, to the late Ardmore and Ruth (Berkey) Lawson.

She is survived by husband: Charles Cost, whom she married 70 years ago on June 4, 1955. Lillie is survived by three children: Deborah (Joseph) Grant, Robert Cost, Jill (Ed) Barger; nine grandchildren: Janel (Andreas Klaeger) Grant, Jamie (Don) Herre, Jason (Ember) Grant, Justin (Tricia) Cost, Stephanie (Tyler) Bensman, Zac Cost, Erin (Matt) Henson, Adam Barger and Kirsten (Danny) Stewart. She was blessed with 17 great grandchildren: Lillian Stewart, Kady Stewart, Jocelyn Stewart, Asher Henson, Paxton Stewart, Jayce Stewart, Remi Stewart, Reese Stewart, Coby Barger, Mia Ahrens, Mack  Ahrens, Cami Bensman, Linnea Herre, Evie Herre, Theodore Grant, Ian Grant, Grace Cost; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brothers: Albert Lawson, Ardmore Lawson Jr, Royal Lawson; and by her sister: Peggy Lawson.

At the age of 16 years old, Lillie and her family came to Sidney, Ohio where she attended Fairlawn High School. She was a member of the Pemberton Methodist church for over 70 years. Being very active in the Women's Group at Pemberton Church and Homemakers doing various charity functions which helped support the church and community. But her life's work was running the farm with Charlie and living a life dedicated to her family, friends and church family. She enjoyed gardening and in her earlier years sewing for her family.

Lillie was a dedicated sports fan following the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.

Family and Friends may call from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Pemberton Methodist Church, 6541 Main Street, Pemberton, OH.  Service will follow at the church with Pastor Don Burley officiating.  Burial will be in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco.
