Lee A. Heintz, age 85, of Anna, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Wilson Health in Sidney.
Lee was born July 9, 1936, in Sidney, Ohio to the late Kenneth L. and Laura A. (Johnson) Ball. On May 14, 1955, she married Ernest Lee Heintz and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2021.
Lee is survived by a daughter: Debra (Rick) Hagan of Sidney; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Rusty) Shaffer, Jake (Breezy) Yinger, Joe Yinger; seven great-grandchildren: Wyatt Shaffer, Jarrett Yinger, Zachary Shaffer, Jada Yinger, Jadyn Yinger, Spencer Yinger, and Britton Yinger; and sister: Rebecca (James) Shephard of Lancaster and sisters-in-law Lola Heintz, Nancy Martin and Marianne Ball. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Thad Ball and Richard “Dick” Ball.
Lee retired from ODOT District 7 and was a volunteer at the Alpha Center and Senior Citizens Center in Sidney for many years. She was also a member of Maplewood United Methodist Church. Lee enjoyed painting, drawing, arts and crafts, cooking and leading and participating in Bible studies. Her favorite pastime was sharing the love of Jesus. Her faith sustained her through her many years and was a source of strength and refuge. She prayed unceasingly for those around her and wanted nothing more than for others to experience the love of Jesus Christ. One of her final letters to her family told them; “I love the Lord and He loves me. I’m going home!”
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 AM at Maplewood United Methodist Church, 21544 Maplewood Rd, Maplewood. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM with Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery, Swanders.
